UNDERSTANDING TEA · GIFTS

Choosing a tea gift with the recipient in mind

A gift of tea may start a conversation as soon as it is given. Or it may wait for a quiet morning, when the recipient opens the box and brews the first cup. Imagining that moment makes choosing a little easier.

Before choosing the box, think about what the recipient usually drinks, whether they make tea often and how they like to brew. If you do not know, choose a set that is easy to begin with, with clear information and brewing instructions.

For someone new to tea

Make it easy to understand: what is in the box, how to take out the tea and what equipment is needed. Small, ready-portioned packs help the recipient get started without much preparation.

If you want to give a whole cake, consider whether the recipient knows how to break and brew it. A short set of instructions may be more useful than a long account of the cake’s value.

For an experienced tea drinker

Their interests are your guide: a region they want to explore, a method they enjoy, or a year that means something to them.

A gift also carries the attention of the giver. A tea that fits the recipient’s habits and can be enjoyed often is worth considering alongside sets designed for discovery and comparison.

Read what is included

Check the tea names, quantities, tins or pouches, outer box, card and any extras. For designs still in development, we identify which images are design concepts and which show physical samples. The position and content of logos and messages, along with the sample, are agreed before production.

Arranging corporate gifts

Who the gifts are for, how many sets, the budget for each, the delivery location and the date needed: these are the details that help us begin. THEN’s quote specifies the contents, taxes, delivery and any custom work, so both sides are working from the same proposal.

Not sure which tea to choose? Tell us about the recipient and the occasion. We will suggest; you decide.

There is always room for your own words in a gift: a thank-you, a New Year wish, or a simple invitation to make tea together when there is time.
